Open Days 2010 @ Budleigh Salterton Croquet Club

Bowls or Croquet   £15  trial offer

Every year the Croquet Club holds Open Days at the start of the playing season to give opportunities for anyone interested in learning to play bowls or croquet to turn up and try their hand on the lawns.  Posters had been put up at many locations in the area   and displays put on show in the libraries at Exmouth and Budleigh Salterton. Club members had also handed out masses of leaflets at the entrance to Tesco’s   Exmouth store on the two days immediately before the first of the Open Days on April 8th.

By the end of the second open session was over 46 people had expressed serious interest in Croquet or Bowls and 29 had already signed up on our special £15 offer of temporary membership for a month with four lessons from our coaching team. A number more were expected to follow them and already the first lessons have taken place. One of the coaching team said she was thrilled with the rapid progress already being made by the trial participants she had been dealing with and she was sure that they would all turn into really good   players. Those who join as full members will have their £15 refunded and we hope that they will all enjoy their month’s taster and take the chance to build on their promising start during the rest of the season.

It is not too late for others to come and try either game with the introductory offer still open.
